How is this tea different from other teas?
The tea comes from the leaves of the Camellia sinsensis plant. Unlike black and oolong tea, whose leaves are fermented, the leaves for this tea are steamed.
With the steaming process, it prevents oxidation of the ECGG. This ECGG makes up the six compounds which are found in this tea: catechin, gallaogatechin, epicatechin, epigallocatechin, epicatechin gallate, and apigallocatechin gallate. The ECGG found in it is one of the main ingredients providing health benefits for consumers.
